The Re:Sisters first heard of Laurie Lewis when we heard a song she wrote, called “Troubled Times.” We loved her writing style and were so surprised that the song was recently written about the times during the pandemic. Her bluegrass style made the song sound like an old-timey piece. Collectively, we were drawn to the poetry of her lyrics. She has been on our radar ever since.
Laurie Lewis–songwriter, singer and musician–has been a significant part of the bluegrass and folk traditions for decades. Even her most recent music, with themes that speak to the “now,” have a traditional sound and feel.
