VFSS Website Launch

-by members of the Website Committee

The new VFSS website went live on September 3, 2025, accompanied by great fanfare and delicious carrot cake. The website begins to represent the richness of the VFSS community—who we have been, who we are, and who we are becoming.

The members of the Website Committee–Jeremy Kashkett, Dylan Brown, Steve Deering and Christina Ray—take a grateful bow.

We wish to thank all the people who provided models, help and advice over the past two years, namely Marian Buechart, Nola Johnston, and Charles West; Barry Truter, Helen and Neil Shilladay; designer Lorne Craig and developer Robb Farion. We are grateful to the members of the VFSS Board who gave us helpful feedback and ongoing encouragement.

The website is a digital reflection of our real-life VFSS community. As in real life, the community is built by the contributions of many. For providing excellent material to the website thus far, we thank Michael Wheatley, Bruce Stout, and Marian Buechert for such a varied mix of  great photographs. We thank Jon Bartlett, Rika Ruebsaat, Jim Edmondson, the Re:Sisters, Nola Johnston, Bevan Bartlett, Allison Campbell, Rick Pollay, and, yes, ourselves–Dylan, Christina, Steve and Jeremy–for much of the content.

And a special thanks to Steve Deering for managing the old site for many years, and for the blanket.
