May 31: Afternoon Song Circle

Format: Song circle, no theme, slight preference for songs that others can join in on

Why is the VFSS offering this? Some prefer the more casual and relaxed song circle format, on the weekends and in the afternoons. We’re less tired. Travelling in the daytime is easier.

Etiquette: When your turn comes around, you can pass, you can make a request of someone else or you can lead a song and experience doing that in a supportive, caring environment.
Introductions: In addition to introducing yourself, we are encouraging commenting on any previous songs and making links. Songversations are great!
Accompanying: Remember to say if you want others to join you instrumentally and/or vocally. We won’t accompany or sing with you, unless you ask.

Bus: 99 B-Line Sasamat/10th stop, also #14, also buses destined for UBC on 4th, Sasamat/4th stop. (Some express buses, stop a block and half further)
Street parking: No problem at this time, day of the week, and date
Accessibility: Several steps up from the sidewalk to the back yard. Bathroom in the basement, down a half-step.

Food: If you want to bring something, please bring finger food goodies to share.

Capacity: 12 First come first served. (There were 12 at Grace Shaw’s – nice number)
