Penny Stone

For the Re:Sisters, Penny Stone’s songwriting felt immediately accessible.  Since we focus on singing about social issues it was a gift to discover a singer-songwriter who is writing songs about current issues.  It’s a bonus that Penny  encourages sharing her music by producing teaching videos, making our learning curve shorter. We frequently check to see what new song she has released.

Penny Stone is a singer, songwriter and composer in Scotland.  She is an amazing and valuable resource for songs about social justice, environmental and other topics and issues.  On her website www.singlouderthanguns.com she provides teaching videos and scores to help you learn her songs  which are usually in three part harmony. Penny is “committed to working for peace and social and environmental justice, helping to free people’s voices through listening, singing, campaigning and writing.”
