August 30: Afternoon Song Circle

At Ruth Walmsley & Tim Bartoo's place in North Burnaby
Location: Cranberry Commons Cohousing, 4272 Albert Street, North Burnaby. On the day there will be a sign on the front door indicating which code to press for access to the Song Circle in the common room.
Parking: Free on the street and in the parking lot beside the property.
Buses: Easy! 4272 Albert Street is one block north of Hastings, between Gilmore and Willingdon.
Accessibility: There is full wheelchair access to the front door, to the common room, and to the amenities.
Snacks: Tea and coffee provided; feel free to bring other beverages and snacks to share.
Why are we doing this? Some prefer the more casual and relaxed song circle format than our regular open stage format. They prefer weekends and in the afternoons. We’re less tired. Travelling in the daytime is easier.
Etiquette:
• When your turn comes around, you can pass, you can make a request of someone else or you can lead a song and experience doing that in a supportive, caring environment.
• In addition to introductions, we are promoting commenting on any previous songs and making links. Songversations are encouraged.
• Remember to say if you want others to join you instrumentally and/or vocally. We won’t accompany you unless you ask.
