Here you will find reflections, songs, and resources related to singing in a multilingual community.
There are known to be 7,102 languages spoken in the world. Metro Vancouver is home to at least 190 of them, including 26 Indigenous languages. How can we build our skills of singing in diverse languages? How will our community change as a result of our singing?
Over the past year or so at VFSS events, we have sung songs in Squamish, French, Arabic, Tagalog, Swedish, Swahili, German, Sinhala, Hebrew, Gaelic, Zulu, Macedonian, Indonesian, Spanish, Serbian, and more.
